1902 White House Enamel Box

The hand-painted White House scenes on this enamel box provide a small glimpse into a larger story. Strollers and horse-drawn carriages pictured on West Executive Avenue on the top of this box are passing the newly completed West Wing. The East Room, pictured inside the box, was designed as a vast, elegant space for large receptions and gatherings. Enamel with 24kt gold clasp.
